After classes yesterday and today, I needed to make a few adjustments to this week’s plan.
Monday: finish screeners from last week
1. screener on readtheory.org
2. screener on StudySync (login through red McGraw Hill app)
3. diagnostic test on StudySync (login through red McGraw Hill app)
If you are finished with all 3 of these, you will work on the Booster course in Edgenuity.
Tuesday: genres notes, begin literary elements notes
Wednesday: cont. genres notes
Thursday: cont.genre notes
Friday– genres quiz
You will need your scissors, a glue stick, and your composition book Tuesday-Friday.
Genres quiz is this Friday. There will be a test over all notes next Thursday. I’m sorry for so many changes! I am having to adjust our pacing due to gaps from being out in the spring. Thank you for your patience!
If you have any questions or concerns, let me know!

A new thing I am starting this year is book suggestions. I am going to do my best to post one book suggestion per week. Hopefully I can post more! Each of my book suggestions will include the audiobook (via youtube) a pdf (digital copy) of the book if I can find one, the link to purchase your own copy on Amazon (you do NOT have to purchase a copy, but it is there if you want your own), and some additional history about the book or its author. I have at least one copy of each of these books in my classroom library. You can always check with Mrs. Kelley in our library if my copy is checked out.
So far, I have suggested The Lions of Little Rock, Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter Pan.
You can find my book suggestions and all of the links in Google Classroom.
These are OPTIONAL! I just want to help all of you find good books to read! 🙂
HAPPY READING!
