Over the next few weeks, we will be reading El Deafo in class! It is a graphic novel, and students have access to a copy of the book through getepic.com
After reading the book, we will research the author and other people similar to our main character.

In Google Classroom, I have included links to the audiobook (video of a teacher reading the book) and a calendar for our reading. All assignments for this book will also be completed in Google Classroom using Google Slides or Google Forms. That way, if your student is absent for any reason, they can read the chapter or work on the assignment they missed. This will help students to not fall behind as we read.

I included a picture of the calendar here, but there is no need to print it off. We will be doing all of the reading and assignments in class, and your child has access to this calendar through Google Classroom. This is just for reference if your child misses a day of school.
